What is Quran Reading / Nazra?

Nazra refers to reading the Quran directly from the written Arabic text. Unlike Hifz, which focuses on memorising verses by heart, Nazra is dedicated purely to the skill of reading itself.

The primary purpose of a Nazra class is to develop correct and fluent Quran reading. It ensures that students can confidently identify words, apply the appropriate pronunciation, and read smoothly without hesitation.

These classes are designed for both children and adults who have a genuine need to improve how they read the Quran. They are highly beneficial for students aiming to:

Start With Your Current Level

Every student does not necessarily need to start at the exact same point. Before your regular classes begin, we assess your current reading level to determine the most effective starting point for you.

Depending on this initial assessment, we determine whether Qaida or direct Nazra is the appropriate step. Both are taught according to your individual ability. It is important to note that completing a Qaida is not always mandatory if a student already possesses the required foundational reading skills to start Nazra directly.
