Beginner Quran Reading

Online Noorani Qaida & Madani Qaida Classes

Build a strong foundation in Arabic reading and basic Tajweed. Choose your preferred Qaida and learn through live, one-to-one online classes with an experienced teacher.

Choose Noorani Qaida or Madani Qaida

We understand that families and adult learners have different backgrounds and preferences. At Bright Quran Online, we do not force every student to follow a single book. You can choose to start your learning journey with either Noorani Qaida or Madani Qaida. Your teacher will structure the early reading lessons around your chosen text and your current reading level.

What You Will Learn in Qaida Classes

The Qaida serves as the essential building block for reciting the Quran correctly. While the exact progression depends on the student and their chosen book, the foundational learning areas generally include:

  • ✦Arabic Alphabet: Recognising individual Arabic letters and distinguishing their unique sounds.
  • ✦Pronunciation (Makharij): Learning where each letter originates in the mouth or throat with the teacher's guidance.
  • ✦Joining Letters: Understanding how letters change shape when they join to form words.
  • ✦Reading Signs (Harakat): Practising short vowels, long vowels, and other basic reading marks.
  • ✦Foundational Tajweed: Developing familiarity with the basic rules of recitation introduced in the selected Qaida.

A Starting Point That Fits You

Your starting point depends entirely on your existing ability. A complete beginner may need to spend time getting comfortable with basic letter recognition, while someone who already knows some Arabic letters might move quickly into joining them.

We recognise that children and adults learn differently. Your teacher will adapt their pace, explanations, and practice methods to suit the individual learner's needs, ensuring the foundation is solid before moving forward.

How the Lessons Work

Live, One-to-One Format

All classes are conducted live, one-to-one, allowing the teacher to focus entirely on the student. Each standard session is 30 minutes, which provides a focused environment for regular reading practice. Explanations can be given in English or Urdu according to your preference.

Why Learn With a Teacher?

While independent study is helpful, relying on a book alone makes it difficult to notice your own pronunciation mistakes. A live teacher listens closely, corrects errors immediately, and answers questions as you practice, helping you build correct habits from day one.

For Children & Adult Beginners

Our academy offers dedicated classes for both children and adults. For children's classes, we encourage parent or guardian involvement and provide regular progress updates. Male and female teachers are generally available for children (subject to schedule confirmation), while adult classes use male teachers only.

What Comes After Qaida?

Once a student has developed the necessary reading foundation and completed their chosen Qaida, the natural next step is transitioning to Quran reading (Nazra). The timing of this transition depends entirely on the student's personal progress and readiness, as determined by their regular practice and teacher feedback.
